I am looking for a climb that matches as many of the requirements below as possible for a research project this July. Any help would be appreciated (and let me know if you'd like to be in the study).

  • Reasonable distance from Boulder, CO
  • Shade for at least part of the day in July, more better
  • Trad climb between 5.6-5.8
  • Popular with a wide spectrum of experience and abilities so that there will likely be climbers we can approach to ask if they want to participate
  • Reasonable gear (no R ratings, nothing exceedingly tricky to place)
  • Able to rap or lower easily from first pitch, so climber can be interviewed right after the climb (prefer no anchor building)
  • Less than 100 feet (the shorter the better)
  • Not crowded in by trees so we can get a good video of the climb
  • Minimum overhangs or outcroppings that would easily hit a GoPro or other helmet camera
  • Single pitch or multi-pitch where people only do the first pitch (don't want to clog up a multi-pitch)

Participation is a few short surveys on experience level, leading the climb wearing our GoPro, and an interview afterward.

Any advice appreciated. Thank you!
