Remote Camping near Moab - what's available?

Hi all, We have plans to visit Canyonlands during Memorial Day weekend and have reservations for it.  Question is, some of our plans may change and we may need a different place to stay Saturday evening.  We will have a 4x4 and all of our backpacking gear.  What recommended dispersed camping areas are around - we can drive up to 1 hour away from the Moab area as I keep reading about how packed its going to be in the BLM parks during the weekend. This question has been asked before, but it was a few years back and things may have changed.  Thanks for your input!!

Drive up to the mountains and pick a nice spot off the BLM land roads or if you are lucky somewhere off sand flats road. That's what we did last time I was there.

There is a ton of dispersed camping in and around here: 38.533583, -109.826604

or follow the directions to here: and there some good spots to camp.  Memorial day weekend is going to be BUSY in Moab so be prepared.  There's also some great spots at the top of Longs Canyon that can be accessed via 313 or the jeep road up Longs.  Good luck.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
