Backpacking/Climbing Areas?

Hey Everyone,

As I'm planning for the Summer, my boys and I are looking for a spot we could do a backpacking trip into a climbing area somewhere in Colorado. We were looking at McCurdy Park Tower in the Tarryall Mountains, but everything there is trad and there are only about four routes.

Thanks for response!

Anything in the Colorado backcountry is more than likely going to be trad. What level of difficulty are you looking for? What length routes?

Any difficulty up to 5.11b, single pitch. I realize that is a tall order for Colorado backcountry and was just wondering if you all know any honey holes.

McCurdy Park Tower has dozens of routes on it, they are just not all listed here on MP, pick up a guide book. The climbs are all 2 to 3 pitches and trad though which it sounds like you're not going for.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
