A weather window is possibly approaching. Looking to ski/skin up standard route via Sloan Creek/N Fork Sauk River. Forest road access (NF-49) is closed due to snow/damage so it'd be a 7mi (800 vert total, so gentle climb) bike each way on top of the 30+ mile round trip. Would like to do it in 2 overnights, maybe 1 if we're feeling strong.

Let me know if interested.

Thinking to go there next weekend. Hopefully you can do it and give an update on conditions. If not, you are welcome to join our party. If weather allows...

Never made the trip. Glad I didn't, as in hindsight, the snowpack would've been questionable.

You are right. The approach would be too long with skis on packs. We also changed plans and left Glacier for earlier time next year.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
