Got a 2 day trip at the end of the month an was wanting to possibly start trying to break into leading in the 11 range(sport). From experience are there any recommendations on a good 1st route out there? Preferably well protected. Any feedback as always is greatly appreciated.

It's been nearly a decade since I've climbed at Jackson Falls but Lovely Arete strikes me as the route you are looking for - also don't be afraid to give Hidden Treasures a shot.  I also remember Puff near the main falls being a short and sweet sporty 11.  Enjoy!

Most people stick clip the first bolt on Lovely Arete, the landing isn't pleasant, but it's still a fantastic route. Wild at Heart over at Railroad Rock is fantastic, if the line's not too long, get on that for sure.

The route to the right of cheerio bowl, as well as the route to the right of detox are both some good 5.11s

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
