Hello! As the title says I am seeking a mentor to help me with placing gear this summer while I am in San Diego.

About me:

  • 19 years old
  • Climbing for 1 year
  • Bouldering V2/3 Outdoors
  • Bouldering V5/6 Indoors
  • Confident in leading 5.9 Outdoors (Though haven't really pushed myself with lead climbing yet)
  • Confident in climbing 5.10c Indoors at Mesa Rim
  • UC Berkeley student studying Applied Mathematics

In Berkeley I have been working with a mentor so I have a basic idea of how to place nuts and tricams. I have been practicing at the local bouldering crag in Berkeley, so I do not have experience leading trad yet. I would like to continue practicing, but my current mentor lives in Berkeley so he can't help me in San Diego.

My gear: 1 set of nuts, 3 BD cams (0.75, 1, 2), plenty alpine draws and quick draws.

Thank you!!!
