Looking to head to Moab anywhere between September-early December. My questions are; out of those months which one would be best to go and I will be driving there and I've got a truck top tent. Where would be the best place to utilize it?

Thank you for any help and please if your interested in climbing that time I'm definitely down as I haven't gotten a partner yet. Tent can sleep 4 so let's make it happen!

By my standards, you'll be fine anytime during that window. The trade-off of going closer to September is that it will be busier, but you'll have more available partners. The closer to December, the less competition you'll have to get on classic climbs and finding a campsite, but the days are shorter and the nights are colder.

As far as using your truck top tent, any designated campground will be fine. Potash Road, Kane Creek Road, or Big Bend CG off 128 are the common spots. If you know how to use a map, there is BLM land that you can camp on for free.

There are probably thirty other threads on the topic.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
