I got spooked after falling on the first pitch and my leader rappled down. We couldn't pull the rope and left it behind. Free beer if someone gets it for us. We're flying out of Las Vegas on Sunday night.

That's not lost. It's abandoned.

I would highly recommend walking out there first thing tomorrow morning and waiting until someone shows up to climb the route. They'll likely drop your rope for you or help you retrieve it and you can toss them a few bucks for some brews post-climb.

This is excellent advise ... after getting your rope, maybe plan to head over to something else in the vicinity.

If you're not flying out until Sunday night, you have plenty of time to get back out there to retrieve your rope.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
