I know this is a longshot because I couldn't find much on the Internet, but are there any gyms or walls in Columbia SC? I'll be working there for the next couple weeks and I'm just looking to stay in shape.

I went to "stronghold" a few years ago.   At the time, it was mainly a traditional (e.g. free weights and treadmills) gym.

Easy problems in a kid friendly cave.  Hard problems on plywood and two-by-fours (not very tall).

I didn't have a partner, so I walked right past the roped climbing, but I remember being unimpressed.

I'd go back, but only because I go crazy if I go more than 3 days without climbing.

Stronghold opened in 1994 as one of the first climbing gyms in the SE. Unfortunately it closed last August. There is a wall at USC, but you have to be a guest of a student to use it. Currently some folks I know in Columbia are going to Charlotte for their gym fix. The Whitewater Center there has opened their deep water solo wall

Yea Charlotte is probably the closest thing you'll find.  USNWC is pretty sweet for multisport especially since your profile says you like mountain biking. Inner Peaks Southend is a solid gym too.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
