We even managed to get some symmetry in weaving the blue rope with the yellow one.

Nice idea.  The top looks dicey where the kid could whack her head on the deck railing.

Yeah, the frame needs some improvement. We started the project at 7:00 at night, and were doing the frame in the dark with materials we had on hand in the garage. It's temporary until we get the time to hang the whole setup in the back woods by the tree house.

If it is vertical, it would appear that there would be quite a bit of stretch in the system and it would be allowed slide down the posts. Not sure if would  make hard to climb or even be an issue.
