I'm driving through SLC tomorrow (Friday) and I want to get on some moderate sport routes. I've never climbed in your area and it would be great to check it out. Looking for anything up to 5.10d, but if you want to work something harder, I'm game.
I have 60m rope, draws, bad jokes, a good belay, and possibly beer.
Most of LCC and BCC near SLC are monzanite/quartzite/granite, the closest limestone is probably down by North Willow Canyon (~45min west of SLC) where there are a lot of low 11's and one 10a. There is not much in the way of mid range 10s, but the 11a is a great route. It is pretty cool and shady, so bring a jacket.
Thanks for the clarification, Evan! I was scouting American Fork I believe, which made me generalize the rock type. Definitely goes to show that I'm not versed on areas in the Wasatch.
