It seems like most of the routes pushing 5.15b-c (not that there's many) are pretty overhung.  What are some of the world's hardest routes on dead vertical terrain?

The fins in Idaho is one place I know that has vertical techy routes.  From what I've heard jonathan siegrist has established some 5.14+ routes up there.

To bolt or not to be, 5.14a, is vertical.

I can't even hold onto the start, so I consider it very hard.

Meltdown in Yosemite looks pretty vertical.

A different route also called The Meltdown in Wales is less than vertical

Fred Nicole did a route in Switzerland some years ago called Blood Bath, 5.14d. Vertical face. And Johnny Dawes' slab routes on Welsh slate, hard 5.14.

Dawn wall free has lots of slab in the 5.14 range

The crux pitches on the Dawn Wall are both vert (or just less than) at hard 14.

Timmy Caldwell set a route on the Dawn Wall in Yosemite that is 5.14 and slabby

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
