Hey y'all,

Just rolled in to JTree. Meeting my brother here in a couple days, but as he's driving out from TX, looking to climb some rocks and camp hidden valley.

>CLIMBING: Looking for someone to rope up with Friday 3/31. I'm a formerly bold 5.12/v7 gym sport rat, but currently chickenshit 5.10/v4 all around climber working on improving my trad game. Looking to run around and check out some moderates.

>CAMPING: Seems like Hidden Valley camping is full at the moment, but if anyone has 1 (or 2!) car spots and wouldn't mind sharing, would be happy to cover the camping fees or provide some cerveza.

>CONTACT: Currently @ dry lakebed, should have cell/internet until ~8am friday morning, after which I'll be hanging out in HV, TR soloing or bouldering.

P.S. - recommendations for TR solos? Anything moderate and with a walkoff or low exposure scramble/solo. E.g. Invisibility lessons, bird of fire.

cheers!

Near hidden valley campground, there is 'The Eye', which is probably the most popular free solo route in Jtree. Its rated 5.4. Spectacular sunset views from the top.

"recommendations for TR solos?"

Dude above suggests "The Eye" as a good choice to TR Solo.

WRONG!

The Eye is a VERY popular climb and to HOG it via TR soloing wouldn't be real cool IMO (JUST an opinion, nothing more!)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
