The property is not posted. We are trying to sell it private sale. We cater to the climbers and hikers. We would like to see the property cared for and maintained the way we keep it and we know that the climbers and hikers respect that. We have had the best experience with the climbers and hikers. Please feel free to call Tom at (603) 786-2330. Thank you!

I appreciate everything the Camara's have done for Rumney and the climbing community over the years. I really hope this works out well for all parties involved. I really appreciate that he's interested in keeping it in the "family" so to speak. <3 Fingers crossed!

What's the zoning/permit status (town? state?) as far as the campground is concerned?

There is no zoning in Rumney. The property is classified as farm, agricultural and recreational. The town inspects the fire annually. For further information please give me a call.

The Rattlesnake Campground property across from Rumney Rocks in Rumney NH is on the market for $575,000. As stated previously this property has been meticulously groomed and is a perfect opportunity for anyone associated with the rock climbing enthusiasts to expand the business while maintaining the integrity of the property. As stated previously we would like to keep the property within the climbing community as our 1st choice. Again, any further questions, please do not hesitate to call Tom at (603)786-2330 or cell at (603)493-5266.

20,000 kW is enough to power a small city. Bring it on! On a more relevant note - is there any chance the local climbers' coalition could buy the camp-able parcel (sub-dividing the property) while the buildings could be sold off to another buyer?

At the increased rate of use at Rumney, they'd probably make it into a parking lot. :p

We don't want to sub-divide the property. Whoever purchases the property will have that choice. We haven't listed the property with an agent yet. We are first exploring the interest within the climbing community. Unfortunately, Piper the donkey, sadly passed away last September. He was loved and is truly missed.

:'( Bye Piper, we loved you. I really really hope this campground goes to a chill climber (or climber friendly) person who keeps the spirit alive - we love it. Thanks Tom for trying to keep it in the family! If I had the means I'd take it in a second.

Meredith, thank you for your e-mail. Please feel free to spread the word. We definitely want to keep the property hiker/climber friendly. Hopefully with some ingenuity the climbing community will be able to take advantage of this opportunity. There's plenty of potential. Thank you! Tom & Marsha

What's the status of this property? Planning a summer trip to Rumney and would love to still be able to camp across the street...
