Cool place to ski into RMNP?

I'm looking to ski/snowshoe a sled into RMNP for 3-5 days. Does anyone have any recommendations for a beautiful, isolated area to go that's somewhere between 5-10 miles off a trailhead, open road, etc? I don't have my heart set on anything in particular, but I'll probably at least hike/ski/snowshoe a 13er or 14er (with a possible ski descent). I could also climb something in the easier 5th class terrain although I honestly haven't swung tools in a few years.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Not in the park but the Buchanan Pass trail is nice. Sawtooth Mountain (12304') can be skied.

Yeah, as mentioned above, if you're looking for a remote setting with enough terrain to keep you busy/travel around for a couple of days I'd head up into the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Lots of large valleys that are rarely visited in the winter with some cool peaks as well!

However, Wild Basin would be a cool trip as well and would be in the park boundaries. Some great terrain back there, and access to some great ski lines on Longs and Meeker.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
