Hello Mountain Project Forum Users!

We are a group of engineering students working on device for mountaineers. We would love to have some experienced hikers, climbers, and mountaineers take part in a survey about mountaineering. This would help our group immensely.

Here is a link to our survey on SurveyMonkey:

We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this survey with anyone or any groups who have relation to mountaineering.

Thank you for your help,

EDD Group 1

Some feedback:

"How much would you be willing to pay for a device that solves water problems while mountaineering?"

This is sort of a ridiculous question. What exactly constitutes "solves water problems?" What are the problems? How does it solve them? How much does it weigh? How does it work?

Without any details of the mythical device or how it works, it's not that reasonable to ask how much somebody would pay for it.

Good luck with development of your product.
If the quality of product is equal to the quality of your survey you are gonna need it.

Please tell me these students are in a 100 level intro class. My comments left at the end of this expansive survey "What even is this? How are you getting any worthwhile data without better description of the problem and your unique solution? Assuming that you're without a proof of concept, how would these general and vague questions get you any closer to a product or even a product need?"

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
