Shell choices

So i'm getting a new shell and i'm looking at a few different jackets I have some initial thoughts on what I have chosen. In no particular order these are my current choices
1. Patagonia m10 (Light weight hardshell fits into my pertex pile system really well) This would work as a emergency shell
2. Arc'teryx Alpha FL (Looks great and has consistently great reviews though i'm concerned about the overall durability as i have had durability issues with 40D face fabrics with hardshells) this i'm really not sure where it fits in with my various systems.
3. Mountain equipment Tupilak jacket (I had the previous version of this jacket the 80D fabric held up well and looked brand new it was the 40D fabric that failed, but the new one is made entirely of 80D) this would work well as beefy use all the time kind of shell.
Can anyone recommend any other shells at this kind of price range?

Well i went for the new Alpha FL and i'm going to get another waterproof for around town use.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
