Full steel shank. Removable EZ Flex tongue to help with fitting around the ankle and extra comfort and padding. Gets great reviews, they are just too big for me. They make a great choice for a solid and well built climbing boot and some ice climbing, also used for lineman boots. Can be used for more general winter hiking and snowshoeing.
