Im headed up to Ogden this weekend from Phoenix for 3 days of skiing with two other friends. Seeing current conditions at Snowbasin and Powmountain, and the forecast for the weekend im not so sure im wanting to pay for 3 consecutive days of lift tickets anymore. Would it be worth it to bring a light trad rack and rope and try to climb a for a day somewhere close? From the webcams ive seen, it looks like the majority of snow below 5000' is gone now.

Or any advice for good places to hike and find free crunchy stuff?

I was up on that side of the mountains last Saturday. Lots more snow over there. Despite the warming and melting in the valley, that side is holding on to its snow rather well.

Schoolroom Wall in Ogden LOOKED dry, but that may change over the weekend. I've also heard that the north side of LCC is in.
