Need a place to teach my kid how to rappel (Portland)

It's time for the grommet to learn to rap and I was hoping that you guys might have some suggestions for easy walk / scramble access raps. Preferably with easy anchors.

I guess the obvious option is Rocky Butte but last time I was there I didn't notice any easy walks back up top.

Any other decent walls to set up a rap off?

Thanks!

Best place, IMO: level ground, walking backwards from tree anchor.

There is an easy access trail at Rocky Butte. I would still advise against it because the freeway noise makes communication very difficult.

Not super close but Skinner Butte in Eugene has some pretty easy access.

If you are a member of a climbing gym they may be cool with you doing it as long as you are kept on belay. I see some people at Vertical World in WA doing it.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
