Hello all,
I am planning a trip to Sandrock with some scouts and trainees this March/April. I was hoping you could point me in the direction of good faces with an easy approach to toprope anchors (for demonstration) and a wide fall zone for the group to watch techniques demonstrated.

You're in luck. Such a spot exists there. Walk in and hang a right and you will be at the Boy Scout wall. You may want to get there early to beat the other scout troops. As one group typically takes over the whole spot.

Hang a right from the paved parking lot. Probably 100-200 feet from the lot.

That spot is ideal for this. Long span of rock, flat landing, scramble up from the tip of the tongue--closest to the parking trail. There's at least 5-10 anchors up there, and almost all at beginner level.

Edit: I believe it's Jaws Block. Look for the concrete pad--if you find it, you're there.

Yes it is the jaws block. There are numerous walls in sand rock with easy 4th class access you can top rope from.

Awesome! Thanks all.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
