Does anyone else think this is over the top and taking away from the true meaning of climbing? Does this mean future climbing resorts and MEMBERS ONLY for private hot crags? LOL

VIP $1599
As a VIP, we’ll treat you to a personalized Red Rock Rendezvous experience. You’ll enjoy four nights (Thursday through Sunday) at the JW Marriott. We’ll take you from your room to the festival grounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You’ll be part of a private beer and wine tasting where you can tip a glass with climbing’s top athletes and their sponsors. On Sunday night you’ll have a look inside the world of climbing at the athlete dinner. You also take home a personalized event jacket along with a one-year membership to the Access Fund.

On Friday, you can choose from the Intensive Friday offerings. These full day clinics dive deeper into the subjects you need to know about. You can choose from wilderness first aid, Warrior’s Way, rock rescue, GPS/map, self/rock rescue, or mountain biking. As a VIP you'll be treated to a full-day multi-pitch climb on Monday. Please do not select it for Friday.

On both Saturday and Sunday, you get to choose a morning or afternoon clinic. During these on-the-rock clinics, you’ll learn from world class athletes and the nation’s top climbing guides. In addition to your clinics, you also get to choose from a fun list of other activities to fill out your day.

Here’s the best part. On Monday after everybody else has gone home, you’ll join an American Alpine Institute guide for a multi-pitch climb. There will be one guide for every two climbers.

Also includes
• Friday Opening Ceremony
• Friday and Saturday Happy Hours with beverages by New Belgium Brewing
• Saturday dinner buffet
• Sunday pancake breakfast
• Event t-shirt and killer swag
All this for just $1599. This price is based on double occupancy. There is an additional fee of $520 for single occupancy.
If you signed up for the VIP package and would like to bring a non-climbing guest, the fee is $899. Your guest will receive all the VIP benefits and can join you at all non-climbing or clinic events. The Guest VIP package is only available for 1 additional participant sharing your hotel room. A guest attendee also waives the single supplement of $520.00. Please call Phil Bridgers at 509-340-1151 to register.

If you don't like what the RRR is offering, don't buy it. Nothing wrong with making money. I have no idea what you mean by "selling out" as applied to this venture.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
