Khumbu, from circa 2007, based on bing images.

Watch out for old glue in boots.
La Sportiva quality boots are likely okay, but I once bought a pair of used boots and the soles fell off in about 2 miles.

no sooner did I write that when only 1 month later the soles of my ~15 year old leather La Sportiva Trango Extreme Tech Mountaineering Boots  started to fall apart.  The front edge that holds the crampon bail broke off and the front section of the soles is peeling off - glue failed.  Fortunately this happened before we had even climbed 10 feet, so I switched crampons with my partner who had some that don't use a front metal bail.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
