I have a pair of Grivel Rambo 4s that I've loved. I liked the rigid platform the provided enough that I'd deal with the poor walking, even in the mountains. They're getting pretty worn down though, enough that the formerly aggressive secondary points no longer engage as well as they used to on ice. Does anyone have any recommendations for newer (preferably lighter) crampons that climb like these? Desired characteristics: - monopoints - aggressive secondary points for stability on ice. - as little flex as possible - light weight if possible.
I switched from Rambo 4s to Petzl Lynx, and haven't been happier.
