Size 48+ mountaineering boots?

Hey mp,

I'm wondering what my options are for large mountaineering boots. I wear a size 14 street shoe and while I've only tried on 47.5 Nepals it's not looking particularly good. The 48 Nepals might just work but if they don't, any ideas?

Much appreciated,

Talk to Ryan at He's got big feet and probably can steer you in a useful direction or two.

Call up Scarpa and see if they still have any size 49 6000's left (the older orange generation). I'm a size 14 street, and they're the best boots I've found for my feet for places that require double boots. The size 48 guides are great for ice cragging and other trips where you can dry the boots out completely every night.

Lowa made bigger size boots, not sure if they still do or not.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
