My aunt, who is currently living in Havasu City, wants to, "Do the trail to the top of Cupcake Mountain." I would fly out from Wisconsin for a quick weekend and walk up it with her. If needed, I have the skills to use, and don't mind carrying, a rope to protect her on any exposed 3rd, 4th, or 5th class. I am stoked about being able to do this for her, but the beta is very limited. Here is the only source I have found:

I am assuming, that this trail won't be a big deal for an avid climber. What I am not certain of is if my aunt, who is in her 60's and not a climber at all, will feel like it's a big deal.

Because of this, it's almost certain that I'd want to short-rope her over any exposed 3rd class sections, and certainly on any 4th/5th class, even if it's just a single move.

What I'm asking is:
1. Have you done the trail?
2. If so, do you think there is even the slightest chance a 60+, non-climber would want a rope?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
