Land for camper parking near Chattanooga?

We are climbing around the southeast for the winter and towing a camper. We're trying to hang out in the Chattanooga area for a month or more, but not much luck finding a good and affordable place to camp long-term.

Wondering if anyone has or knows of someone who has some land where we could post up for a while? Would happily pay a nightly rate, we just can't afford the $30+/night cost of state parks and other campgrounds in the area for the length of time we're trying to stay.

Cheers!

Hunter's Check Station campground in Prentice Cooper State Forest. On scheduled hunt dates it is closed for everyone but hunters, but otherwise its open and free. If you wanted to move around the satellite areas then camping at Pigeon Mountain WMA in GA (near rock town and lost wall) is pretty cheap and within 45 minutes. Sandrock, AL (aka Cherokee rock village) is something like $3 and has showers. You could probably put together a month long stay pretty easily with these 3 places.

Towing the airstream this winter? Wish we could be joining everyone in the southeast again... Good luck you two! Holler at me if you're ever in WY!

Oh cool, we'll have to check out Prentice Cooper. Sounds promising. Yo Emerson! We might be in Wyoming early this summer - we'll let you know if we are!

There's a walmart at the bottom of signal mountain which is relatively close to T-wall and also close to downtown (good food/bar scene). Prentice cooper is another option, but it involves variable quality dirt roads. Whether your vehicle/camper can handle that terrain is something I can't answer.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
