Hey MPers!

I was the one who started the thread on the UT Relocation... so Im heading out over Thanksgiving to look at places and was hoping to climb / ski.

Not sure about the skiing just yet, but was thinking of climbing trad or sport in between looking at houses.

Are there any places that stay warmer than others? Suggestions? Guidebooks to get?

Thanks for the suggestions!

This might help: visitutah.com/plan-your-tri...

St George is generally pretty stable/ mild comparatively.

SouthWest Utah around St George and Zion N.P. has lots of options of every different type of rock climbing, also scrambling and hiking, on several different rock types.
and ...

Warm weather. Sharon and I had a great time around there in February last winter.
I heard that one of the busiest times at Zion National Park is Presidents' weekend in mid-February.

Get the new edition of the rock guidebook.
If you might like scrambling, get the scrambling guidebook.

Flying there? consider that SW Utah is closer to Las Vegas than to SLC - (and that from many major cities LAS has more scheduled flights than SLC).
