Just curious if gyms have a policy on this during busy hours. I remember two guys doing it last winter in the evening , it was really annoying and they had to get off the wall when we had to push them in the corner when we started climbing. Not fun for any of us.

I usually do it in the morning and even then I have to switch areas so people can climb

Never heard of a gym rule about it, just common courtesy. I only do it when the gym is relatively empty. If someone is climbing a route, I just hang out til I can go past them.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
