Red Rocks Nov 5th and 6th?

Hi good people of MP,

I will be in town for a conference and free to climb all weekend. Please help me get away from weird casino hotel land.

I am solid on 5.9 and I expect to be fine on most Red Rocks 10a/b, but having never climbed there I don't want to assume. Normally I do good on vertical crimps and finger cracks. In sadly stereotypical girly style I suck at steep or wide.

I've been trad climbing for 15+ years, including big wall solos, expeditions etc so I know what I'm doing (or at least I damn well should by now).

In a perfect would I would like to find a safe experienced partner, crag on Saturday to get to know each other, then do Dream of Wild Turkeys (or lower variations to avoid crowds) all the way up and over the top of Black Velvet Peak.

But really I'll take what I can get that weekend...

Happy to do easier stuff in guide mode or get dragged up something harder too, anything really.

Cheers,
Jane

Prepare to on-sight some 5.11's!

Red Rocks climbing is very soft in my opinion, but also super fun.

DWT is a great climb, and only has one pitch that could honestly get 5.10- and that's just for a couple of moves.

Wish I was there.

Have a great time.
