Has anyone climbed directly up the large crack on the east end of the Pullman Car to gain the east face? It seems like such an obvious line but none of the established routes follow it. It doesn't look too difficult and I noticed there is a piton at the base of it. Is it harder than it looks?

Hey Dan, it's most def. a known route, but I believe it goes at around 5.10d. Is it Hornsby''s Ledges? I'll be near a guidebook later today.

East face overhang is the name of the rote that goes straight up dodgeblock. Hornsby ledges starts on the north side. They're .10d and .9 respectively.

He rates it as 5.11a.
