Hello!

I'm going on a 3-week Utah roadtrip, coming from Seattle, and I'll be in the Moab area around October 20th. I'd love to get to climb!

I've never climbed in the area, but I'm an experienced trad leader here in Washington! I'm mostly just looking for a partner who is trustworthy enough to take my life into their hands. :O I will do everything within my power to keep you safe. I'd love to find a solid 5.10+ leader to get on some 5.10 classics; having never climbed in this area, I'm not sure how my 5.8/5.9 granite-crack head will do :)

I'll have my 70m and a single rack (+ doubles in hand-size pieces).

A tower or two sounds interesting; Jah Man on Superior Sister? Kor-Ingalls or North Chimney on Castleton? Ancient Art?
Or not a tower! Incredible Hand Crack, Supercrack of the Desert.. Like I said, I haven't climbed here so it would be amazing to get on those routes. If you are down to climb but don't want to hang out with all the humans, I'm open to other, less popular suggestions, too.

I have small hands. I like smaller stuff more than wider stuff.

Let me know if it sounds like we could get up some cracks!

Hi Alisse, My name is Michael. I'm an outdoor climber with 6 years solid experience. I'll be headed to Moab around the time you're going, after a short stop at City of Rocks in Idaho. I'll lead up to 5.9 sport or trad, have a single rack, (2) 60m ropes, an 80m rope, and I'll give you a belay on anything you'd like to set up. I'm headed to City of Rocks Monday, the 17th, probably be ready for some moab time around the 20-21. I'm out of cell coverage at the moment, but if you want to chat a bit about it, pm me your facebook, and we can talk there. I have wifi for now.

Hi Alisse,
a friend and me are heading out on Sunday (from Bend Oregon), towards Vedauwoo 2 nights (never been and hate off-widths but we wanna giggle, so we wanna see what it's like), onto Boulder Canyon 2 nights, Shelf Road (Oct 20-22, for the AAC Craggin Classic), then to Moab (getting there around the 24th or 25th Oct for the AAC Craggin Classic on the 28-30), hanging around for a couple extra days afterwards, especially looking for a hilarious Halloween costume party, then heading to Zion for free climbs not aid climbs. Should be a really fun road trip. We'll be meeting friends along the way, both to climb with and to socialise with. You'd be welcome to come join in the fun, or just meet up for a particular climb. We both have racks, we both have 60mtr pairs and I have a 70mtr too. We both work with Outward Bound, teaching climbing along with mountaineering and rafting, and have been climbing for a long time. Your tick list sounds wonderful, so it would be good to join forces and send some classics. If you're not interested, have fun, and enjoy your trip.
