Hello Mountain Project, I am a 19 year old undergrad at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I love climbing and I want to become an Alpinist, but I have been having trouble connecting with climbers who either have the time or are as stoked to train and climb as I am. If I don't get out into the mountains more than I did las winter, I am going to explode. Therefore, I am hoping to find someone who would be willing to let me tag along and show me the ropes, so to speak. I know how to lead climb, build multi pitch anchors, travel on a glacier, perform crevasse rescue, winter camp, and I know basic avalanche danger evaluation and rescue. I know how to ice climb and dry tool, but I am not skilled enough to lead. However, I want to work towards that goal this winter. If you wouldn't mind giving me a chance, shoot me an email. Thanks.
