The website for pinnacle mountain and the visitor's center advertise "technical climbing" routes that include some lead routes. However, there are no true lead routes anymore. The first actual lead area (I-A) suffered a large rock fall that took out the lead area. The other 'top rope' sections are really just 4th class scrambles and can be climbed comfortably without a rope.

Also for area II-B, the rocks meant for creating an anchor around are loose and may be subject to falling in the future. The bolts at II-B are in fragile rock and probably won't hold too many falls before they will rip out.

I'm not saying don't make a trip to the mountain, just don't haul a day's worth of sport gear up an unmaintained trail to find out the area doesn't exist anymore/isn't up to par with what you have in mind as true vertical climbing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
