Hi all! I'm looking for weekend trip ideas for this fall... My girlfriend and I lead trad up to 5.10, and don't mind long approaches. (Actually, bonus points for ideas that involve a day of approach. We like backpacking and love solitude!) Currently, we're looking at some objectives in the lost creek wilderness, but I'm thinking it may be a touch chilly up there at this point. Lime creek for some sport climbing is also on the list. What else is there out that makes a good weekend outing? Thanks in advance!
Like creek will be chilly. Good fall destinations include south platte, penitente, black canyon, unaweep, escalate, the whole Utah desert, red rock. Plenty of good sport at rifle, shelf, penitente as well. Front range is nice in fall too
Monitor Rock up independence pass might be good. They have a good range of sport climbs and I think the fall leaves should still look fancy
