My climbing partner and I spent six days in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area with the intent to climb "North Face" (5.7) on Lone Eagle Peak. We saw a lot of rain during the first few days and we did a lot of this:
But eventually the rain stopped and we headed out for the climb at 5:00am. We quickly found out that the rock was still soaking wet and after a short lead fall we decided to turn around and change the gameplan.
The next day we opted to ascend "Solo Flight" to the summit of Lone Eagle Peak for a more relaxed and fun time. We eventually found ourselves ontop of a beautiful peak where we could look down 1,800 feet to the lake which we were camped out on.
Here is a short & sweet video of the climb. I LOVED IT and I highly recommend visiting this part of Colorado.
