There is a trail work day happening at Cathedral Ledge on Saturday the 17th. We need around 7-10 people total, and have 2 signed up so far. The facebook event is here: facebook.com/events/1377084… Don't forget to sign up on the google docs page if you intent to join!
Here is the information for the non-facebook people:
"The Access Fund Conservation Team is coming to town! We're delighted to welcome Mike and Amanda, a pair of trail professionals who travel the country 10 months a year working with volunteers & land managers across the country at a variety of climbing areas. They come fully equipped with a cache of rock & trail construction tools (high line, hand tools, etc) and the know-how to lead a crew of volunteers to accomplish some needed technical work on the approach trails and base of Cathedral Ledge.
We're looking for a crew of 7-10 volunteers to join us for a day of FUN hard work, giving back to one of the best cliffs in the world.
We'll provide lunch for all volunteers, plus tools and equipment. Please bring work gloves and a water bottle.
We'll make the final decision on the project when Mike and Amanda arrive, but the current plan is to either work on the stairs leading up to Recompense or the erosion problems from the base of Thin Air to Still in Saigon."
