Gilligan Up: New Slang term

I have noticed the new generation of climbers are developing new terms for established climbing lingo. Life umbrella and finger flower appear to be the trendy vernacular for cam and chalk these days. Not to be one to be left behind, I thought it would be hip to offer a new term for the climbing lexicon.

Gilligan up: present tense) 1) The act of attaching all the gear a Trad lead climber carries on their body, especially on a fist assent of a route. Including but not limited to, cams, nuts, tricams, quick draws, carabineers slung with runners(short and long), PAS, shoulder sling, cordelette, lockers, belay device, chalk bag, and any other number of items slung from the body prior to a climb.

Example: climber 1:";You ready yet?"; climber 2: ";NO, I am sill Gilligan up, do you have a #2 life umbrella I can take?";

Gilliganed up:(past tense)Example: Climber 1: ";You got everything?"; Climber 2: ";Yep, I am Gillianed up."; Climber 1: ";your not Gilliganed up, where is your #2 life umbrella?";

Gilligan up: (future tense) Example: Climber 1: ";Are you going to Gilligan up or do you want me to lead this pitch."; climber2: ";you already have an umbrella on, so you can Gilligan up.";

older climbers and hipsters, who find ";classic television"; far better than todays shows, should of course be able to trace the origins of the term to the opening credits of the TV sitcom Gilligan's Island.

I think I'm considerably less intelligent than I was when I start surfing the forums.

Dear young climbers:

If your cam is in the "umbrella" position, you have seriously f#@ked up.

Sincerely,
Rick

This is like one of those bad 'listicles' that made Buzzfeed famous. Like "you're not a real Southerner unless you do these 22 things!" Yet most everyone doesn't actually do most of the list.

So your contribution to the lexicon is... "fist assent"?

Let me guess; that's when you repeatedly punch someone until they agree to your suggestion.

Oooh... I thought it was when you consent to climb a #3 crack.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
