My buddy just created a Facebook group to try to connect any of us climber/travel nurses that are out there in the world. Because, we all know being able to live the climber lifestyle is actually attainable when you are a travel nurse! Great money, flexible hours, and ability to work near great climbing locations year round, what could be better! Anyways, if you want to join our group, here's the link: facebook.com/groups/1524640...
Also, a few of us are planning a climber travel nurse (plus our non nurse friends) trip to Red Rocks September 23rd-26th. We already booked a group camp site, so let me know if you'd like to join us and I'll give you more info! Just happens that the Travel Nurse Conference is in Vegas September 25-27th as well :P and from what I've heard, all the travel nurse agencies throw huge open bar catered events as a way to try to recruit us!
So if you, or anyone you know, loves climbing and is a travel nurse, or a nurse considering leaving their staff position to go travel, send them the link to join our group!
Awesome idea Alicia! I just quit my staff job of three years (ER) after saving up some money to take 4 months and go climbing. Not regretting this decision one bit. Plan is to work travel contracts after and enjoy 4-5 months off every year. This group is a great idea!
