There is a broom, ropes, and other accessories baking in the sun at Jacks. It's been noticed in a hunting forum I frequent. Clean your shit up people before the hillbillies clean it up for you (and they tend to use explosives and other fun things to dispose of refuse). It's a five minute walk at one of the most frequented spots in AZ, pack in and pack out people...

Hey Eddie ,
Be careful on what you believe just reading it on a forum without seeing it for your self . I don't frequent Jacks but once or twice a year but I'm always very impressed with how clean the climbing and camping areas are kept. The most trash I've seen has been a few bottle caps at the campgrounds. I think the sport climbers who frequent jacks should get a lot of credit for keeping the area as clean as they do . I think the only issue at jacks would be trimming of trees for fire wood but even that has got much better in the last couple years.

Back in the day.. before Jacks was on the National forest website.... and apparently other websites as well...only climbers used the crag ( for the most part ) nothing is absolute. It was, as Joe says, very clean and well kept. As of late, when I have been up there, Jacks is used my multiple recreationists. I have noticed more garbage... and strange things left behind. Kids games, brooms, ropes in the Juipers (not climbing ropes), painted plywood signs..... Not as bad as fossil creek... but you get my jist...

cheers... lou
