Wondering if anybody has some tips for moderate alpine rock routes that can be done in a day from geneva. I am thinking something in the ballpark of under 5.6 climbing. A nice ridge traverse would be perfect! ...I am alos open to the idea of a nice moderate alpine mountaineering route (snow, ice, rock) that can be done in a long day from geneva (chamonix maybe?) but not super excited to bring all the extra gear when i only have a single day available.

The other alternative is to team up with a partner and climb a long alpine route that is a bit harder (up to mid/high 5.11 grade) if anyone is interested or knows someone who would be interested :)

Thanks!

Normal Route on Mirror d' Argentine. 2 hrs drive from Geneva

Point des Ecandies traverse S to N. 1:45 drive

Dri Hornli. 2:45 drive

Vol du Korbé, but it is 5.8. 1:20 drive

Are four that I've done and would do again in a heartbeat! For Dri Hornli to be done in a day the lifts would have to be running.

There's thousands of others out there. Check out camptocamp.org (Helps to read French, but not necessary)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
