What's up, I moved to Portland in the last year and I'm just starting to explore the local rocks. Looking for partners to trad, sport, alpine or boulder just about every weekend it's not raining. I've been climbing around 10 years, coming back from some injury but enjoy climbing 5.9 to 5.11 and hope to be doing some harder stuff when I get stronger. Ideally you live in Portland, can climb similer levels and you're someone kinda cool to kick it with. Wanna do some exploring?

Used to live there. Don't be afraid of Beacon Rock. Go get on Windsurfer and then Blownout and then link up Free for All, Dodd's Jam and Dastardly Crack and bask in the reality that insanely awesome trad is just 45 minutes from Portland.

Oh, and Ozone is fun too.

I'm a local Portland guy, and am usually free weekends (usually with a little planning). Will send you a PM with my contact info. Welcome to the PNW!

I've climbed the local crags. Rocky, Beacon, Ozone, Dropzone.

I mostly do trad. Trying to find someone who wants to get out this weekend to maybe Leavenworth or Index.

Do you climb alpine at all (rock or snow/ice)? Interested in any bigger (multi-day) objectives?

For local stuff, Ozone is good, Beacon should be good (is it open again yet!?), and check out French's Dome near Hood. I have also heard good things about Klinger Springs on the east side.

Hey there. I'm still a little lower grade as far as my trad leading, like 5.8 while I get back going, but I wanna get out for all disciplines. Moved down here nearly 2 months ago from Seattle and wanna get after it.

I've climbed ice, but it requires a lot more kit

The vehicle I wanted to buy in WA got sold so my plans are more open now :-\

Your description of yourself is the same as mine. Let's get after trout creek! Ive got weekends for sure and the occasional afternoon. Local stuff is good, and the crags around Mt Hood are surprisingly pleasant. I climb for adventure and fun times, also to feed my crack addiction. There's plenty of exploring to be had here, more fun with two or more!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
