I heard all of eastern MA was going. Thought we could meet up in the parking lot and complain about how packed it is.

Rumney on a weekend? That sounds fun.

They bolted Moby Grapes and a couple other multi-pitch classics up the road on Cannon, just bring 20 draws and a Grigri.

Can it really be that packed when its supposed to be almost 90 out this weekend?

I don't know what to do, I just read that it actually sucks.

Only on Saturday. Relatively cooler rest of the long weekend.

Get there at 7:00, hike a bit to climb and you'll probably be alone till 11:00. Everyone past 9:30 will probably be looking for parking. I'll probably be clipping bolts somewhere without the crowds!

Despite the good weather on Sunday it wasn't very busy at most crags. Main Wall and Armed & Dangerous were, as usual, packed but a lot of the other popular crags were ghost towns.

As Yogi Berra said: "Rumney is so busy, nobody goes there anymore."

Maybe they'd come back if there was a guidebook :-)

I saw a couple of people this weekend trying to use 1st Edition guidebooks, which was kind of funny.

Nice, ward.

Barely anyone was there on Monday. The threat of rain chased everyone away.

This thread is classic. I love the comment about bolted Moby Grape.

I had a friend going there from Virginia, but your excellent dissemination of rain forecasts sent them to Tennessee.
