Driving out to Big Sky next month (June 12-17) for a conference and would love to get outside! I'm definitely going to bring at least a couple pads to boulder over in case I can't find a partner, but will also likely bring rope/rack in case I can. Fine to lead 10s trad/11s sport and can follow harder. I'm thinking Gallatin Canyon as I'm totally unfamiliar with MT climbing but am open to suggestion... if anyone would like to partner up please let me know!

Red cliff is your best bet for near by sport climbing. But lots of other options to the north towards Bozeman.

Gallatin Canyon is awesome, prepare for some Index-style sandbagging!

There's no reason to climb Red cliff considering Gallatin is just a few minutes further down the road. Gallatin Tower is a super fun first route that would probably be right up your alley!

I would agree, Gallatin Tower or areas around skyline are much better and worth the trip. Red cliff is just a quick easy place to climb in big sky if you are short on time and want to get on some Rock. Check out the limestone near Storm Castle too.

Thanks for the info y'all! I welcome the sandbag and will accept the punishment with good humor. And again if anyone is looking for a partner then hit me up!

Bumping the thread as the time is upon us. If anyone wants to partner up sometime this week please let me know! Prefer moderate multi pitch trad but I'm game for any style really.
