I am planning to spend the winter in Costa Blanca (Nov,Dec,Jan). Looking for partners, info, etc. I am trying to find an apartment right now. Which starts with finding an area. Leaning towards Calpe right now... still a nice beach, promenade, and close(ish) to the city (Alicante) and highways. We found a place on airbnb that is our top choice right now. Not super cheap but its within budget (max $1000 USD/mo).

I'll be there with my non-climbing wife. We would love to be close to the beach. We would love a town with some semblance of livelyness in the winter. I know things can get very quiet in the off season.

I'd love a place I can walk 5min to GREAT coffee, and see nice live music at night.
My cousin is in Javea so that is appealing as well, but wonder if it will be too quiet during the winter.

And of course, partners! I onsight 5.11b sport right now, and hope to be climbing low 5.12 by then (Ive lead a couple 12a's before, and projected 12c). I'll lead trad as well - in the low 5.10 range but i can follow 5.10+.

Welcome any advice here or shoot me a PM.

Thanks! SOOOO stoked for this trip!
