NATIONAL PARKS: Yosemite wants its hotel sign back Published: Thursday, April 7, 2016 Yosemite National Park is offering a $1,000 reward for the return of a famed hotel sign taken from the park in February.
The Ahwahnee Hotel has operated in the park since 1927, but it was renamed in March because of a dispute between the National Park Service and its concessions provider (Greenwire, March 4). The sign was stolen just before the name change (Greenwire, March 1).
