I was out in red rocks this past weekend and while bouldering in the windy peak area, we scoped out the fish head. On the side that has the several boulder routes ( mountainproject.com/v/10848… has multiple top rope anchors that face towards the hike in, and I wasn't able to find any beta on these.
As we went out bouldering, we had no ropes to TR the lines, but I was wondering if anyone knew what these routes were, how long they've been there. And more importantly, why has no one bolted the absolutely STUNNING line along the overhanging wall behind the boulders?
Nothing to add about the topropes. But a quick look in Tom's bouldering book points out a restricted area right next to Fish Head boulder due to native american art within 50 feet. Just a hunch this might have something to do with a line not being established. You'd have to reference the book while in that area to know more specifically about the closure.
