I'm looking for partners for mellow touring that may or may not include ice climbing near Boulder, RMNP, Indian Peaks, or something similar. I've been out a few days on both this year and am looking for weekday partners through Jan and Feb. I'm not a super rowdy skier but enjoy mellow terrain with low avy danger...think Caribou and Hidden Valley. I do have beacon, shovel, prove and all ice gear needed to top rope with a few screws as directionals or anchors but am not leading ice. The catch...I need partners with wheels!
I've got some beta that the Jewel Lake ice in RMNP is in good right now and would love to skin up to it, climb for a few hours, than hit a line or two on the way out. This, or the BC ice past Castle Rock and a quick lap or two at Caribou also sounds like a fun day!!!
