2016 Goals: a mutual inspiration thread

Hey MP! I thought for the new year I'd start a thread where we can post up goals for the coming year. Obviously this is a spray thread, to a degree, but I think these kind of things can be fun, and its motivating to see people gunning for personal bests, be they 5.10 or 5.14 or WI5 or whatever.

Personally, what's motivating me the most lately is the alpine. Some of the more difficult and technical lines on the big volcanoes are what are really drawing me in right now. The Liberty Ridge on Rainier is the big goal, which may or may not happen in 2016, but building towards it is fine with me. The first order of business will be getting revenge on the Jefferson Park Glacier on Mount Jefferson, where I was stopped by the bergschrund a couple of summers ago. I also want to ski off the summit of some of the volcanoes this spring.

On rock, I have some unfinished business on Doritos at Smith Rock. It's not the raddest or most aesthetic route, but the moves are fun and it's hard for me, so I want to do it. Maybe someday I'll even be ready to seriously try the direct start.

Finally, I've still never been to Yosemite, and it's probably time to fix that. Maybe this year's the year?

My only goal is to stay injury-free, especially from rock climbing falls.

I like this idea, I want to lead my first 5.12, I nearly had one last/this year before I hurt a finger. And building off that I want to lead Helix

Then I want to get decent at trad climbing, and do some sort of 5.10 crack climb. Also get a real trad rack. If this happens fast enough maybe head down to zions and make my first bigwall attempt.

Here is to an awesome 2016.

I would like to find a way to drain a good 5k+ feet of some random sea trench and climb it.

Having around 50+ hours of scuba diving on the Turks Island Passage, it would be awesome to climb it.

I'm spending the holiday season this year in Thailand at Crazy Horse, and I'm already pretty set on coming back next year. Assuming I do, I want to do Anxiety State Crisis, a cave roof 5.11d. I've only ever lead a single 11a, so I think that's maybe a decent goal to work towards for the next year.

I'd love to finally put down a 5.14, which I've been working on since April 2015. But id also like to diversify my climbing, I'm just getting a rack, and would like to be climbing solid 5.11 trad by the years end, and really would enjoy doing my first multipitch. Too bad its Arkansas...
Most of all, I'd love to meet new climbing partners, and stay psyched on adventure!

Replace my climbing shoe rubber with mountain goat hoof. Why haven't we been doing this?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
