Are there any good offwidths around Durango, have family there I'm visiting, and I know some at sailing hawks but are there any sustained routes around?

Not at the moment.
But during climbing season, perhaps a shady afternoon in summer, you might enjoy some real gems. Go near the KOA north of town, look west up to Animas Mountain, and scope out a number of dark gashes up high on the cliff-band. If you see what you like, get up there!
Now seasonally closed, with lots of snow, this area has the most sustained off-width and chimney climbing Durango has to offer. Otherwise, go to East Animas.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
